These completely devastated buildings along the Desna River once echoed with the laughter of children. Once lively and full of energy, these abandoned summer camps now stand in eerie silence, slowly being reclaimed by nature. Built during the Soviet era, these camps were part of a wide network across Russia, meant to offer children from working-class families a chance to enjoy summer in a controlled, educational environment.
