The mood sits somewhere between nostalgia and mild panic, with plenty of uncanny weirdness thrown in for good measure. These bizarre spaces do not need monsters, jump scares, or anything dramatic. The emptiness does plenty of work on its own, which is probably why staring at them for too long feels like such a questionable hobby.
