Engineering and Performance
Underneath the fiberglass body, Wounded Knee Motors extended a Chevrolet Impala chassis to nearly 6 meters, equipping it with hydraulic suspension. It is powered by a 5.7-liter Chevy V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission, sending all torque to the rear wheels fitted with chunky Mickey Thompson tires.
Authentic Details
The car features genuine aviation components, including a jet engine nozzle and parts sourced from a British Harrier fighter jet. To fulfill its role as a stunt vehicle, these parts are partially functional, featuring integrated flamethrowers to simulate a jet’s afterburner.
After operating at the park from 1992 to 1994, this unique piece of movie history is now heading to auction, where it is expected to fetch between $220,000 and $260,000.
