Halloween arrives once a year, bringing frantic dashes for funny cheap costumes that somehow look completely awful. People always swear this October will be different. Plans start early with ambitious DIY costumes crafted from old cardboard boxes and questionable glue. Bank accounts stay safe thanks to remarkably low budget choices, but dignity usually takes a permanent hit.
Walking down any neighborhood street feels like surviving an avant-garde art exhibition curated by raccoons. Duct tape holds half the festive garments together while glitter creates an ecological disaster in the living room. Nobody remembers who wore what masterpieces anyway. The entire spectacle vanishes by morning anyway.
