23-year-old David Gustafsson, a Swedish enthusiast, meticulously constructed a life-sized replica of the Volvo V70 using 370,000 LEGO bricks over a span of 2 years. Despite acknowledging that purchasing a “regular” car might have been a more economical choice, David’s passion for LEGO traces back to his childhood. At the age of ten, he harbored dreams of fashioning a sizable automobile from these iconic building blocks. In 2020, his aspirations took a leap when he and a friend clinched the top prize in the Lego Masters television program, scoring around 400,000 pieces totaling a staggering weight of 1.2 tons. Reflecting on this achievement, David remarked, “I saw this as an opportunity to fulfill a dream I’ve held since I was 10—to construct my very own life-sized car.”
