Minsk-based artist Ivan Karpitski, a self-taught individual, has crafted a fully operational ice boat capable of accommodating at least one person. He showcased his remarkable skill on social media platforms. Renowned for his ice and snow sculptures, Karpitski gained widespread recognition in 2020 when he fashioned an ice violin following a fishing mishap. This winter, he surpassed expectations with his latest project—an ice boat constructed along the shores of the Tsnyansky reservoir. Employing ice blocks as building materials and water as an adhesive, Karpitski utilized power tools to meticulously craft intricate details, including an aesthetically pleasing ice steering wheel and detachable oars to convey a sense of movement. While the precise dimensions of the boat remain unknown, it is likely designed for one or two passengers.
